IKA — the logos we have

Everything produced in one place, 17 September 2026

These are all the IKA marks that exist in our files. They are not alternatives to choose between — most are variants of two different designs, and the point of showing them together is so it is clear which is which.

Each one is shown on white and on slate, because several carry white ink and simply disappear on a light page.

There is only one decision here. The header lockup marked in red is the only mark on this page that alters the artwork — its type is set larger so the name still reads at the size a website header uses. Everything else is either the existing logo or an older piece kept for reference. Between you, a yes or no on that one would unblock the new site; everything else is here just so you can see it.

The website mark

Confirmed by Iva

The block K served at ivakaufmanassociates.net/images/IKAlogo.png. Iva confirmed on 3 September that this is the logo. The live site only holds it at 380×185, so this is a vector recreation fitted to that file pixel-by-pixel and rendered at 12× for print.

On slate the K and the word ASSOCIATES disappear — they are painted in exactly that slate. Nothing is broken; this mark is drawn for light backgrounds, which is why a reversed version exists further down.

The website mark, lime field

Variant

Identical geometry, plus a chartreuse panel filling the space behind the K's arms. This one circulated earlier in September, so it may well be the version you already have to hand.

Here the chartreuse panel keeps the K readable on slate, which the plain version cannot do.

Header lockup — larger type

New — needs your approval

Built 17 September for the new website header, and the only mark here that changes the artwork. The I panel and the K keep their exact original coordinates; only the threaded line is set larger, which widens the canvas. The reason is measurable: on the original the type is 9.4% of the mark's height, so at a 56px web header it renders about 5px tall and reads as a colored smudge. Here it is roughly 16%, so it still reads. See the comparison below.

Same behavior as the mark above: the K is the same slate as the background, so only the colored part of the line survives.

Brand-kit lockup

Reference only

A separate design produced in this workspace — the IKA monogram beside a two-line wordmark. This is not the website mark and should not stand in for it — that is settled, not an open question. Shown here so it is recognizable rather than mistaken for an official variant. Two palettes exist: the original gold, and one recolored to the website's chartreuse.

Brand-kit lockup, for dark backgrounds

Reference only

The same lockup with ASSOCIATES reversed to white for use on slate. ⚠️ On a white page that word disappears entirely — visible in the two panels below, and the reason this file must never be used on light.
